Under the Keep Kids Fed initiative, access to free and reduced school meal benefits returns to the previous, eligibility-driven model seen prior to the pandemic. For some families, this shift represents a return to what they are used to — voluntarily enrolling their students to receive benefits like school meals through their school district. However, for many, the process is completely new and could leave many students out of receiving important educational benefits they need to succeed.
To help make sure every child is well fed and ready to learn, our Keep Kids Fed toolkit is designed to provide schools with ready-to-use resources to help spread the word about the importance of making sure each child applies to receive free and reduced meals. Materials are available in English and Spanish, and many are easily customizable to your school’s needs.
